Our Tasting Notes
This espresso coffee has been painstakingly crafted with a combination of complex characteristics. It has a hint of smooth powerful dark chocolate; a well developed, rounded body with a pleasant tangy finish. When milk is added it displays a refined sweet toffee note. Versatile enough to be enjoyed as a filter-style coffee this is a great all-rounder ideally suited to discriminating coffee drinkers.
Our Varietal Notes
Arabica K7. Originally derived from Legetet Estate, Muhoroni, Kenya. Chosen for its generous bean size, high cupping quality and resistance to disease. Mechanically selected and dried our 2008 Vintage Single Origin is a delicate mixture of both Semi-washed and Naturally processed K7 cherry.
Our Roasting Notes
Produced with precision our 2008 Vintage has been roasted to the cusp of darkness. With an Agtron Spectrophotometer reading of WB (Whole Bean) 44 and GR (Ground) 48 we have exacted the optimum roast point and spread for this particular coffee. The result is a dark to medium development that complements the delightful chocolate notes with a muted acidity whilst still augmenting a smooth and well developed body.
